Classic Car Service & Repair
The Phoenix Car Restoration qualified team are all factory trained in Rolls Royce, Bentley and Jaguar and have carried our major car restoration work on the following cars:
Aston Martin, Austin Healey, Bentley, B.S.A., Daimler, Ford, Jaguar, Jenson, Jowett, Lancia, Lotus, Marcos, Mercedes-Benz, MG, Morris, Range Rover, Rolls Royce, Rover, Sunbeam and Triumph.
Classic Car Restoration
Many classic cars have been restored by the team over the past 20 years. These have been a mix of classic cars that are used as the main form of transport and other have been for show purposes and have won awards - the most recent being the Red “E” Type Jaguar. The oldest car that has been restored was a 1932 MG J2.
Classic Car Conversions
We undertake the majority of classic car conversions. The most common being the Triumph TR7 V8 conversion.
Other conversions:
- Running gear and electronics from a fuel injection Jaguar XJS to a carburettor XJ6 SII
- Made to fit walnut dash, consol and door cappings to E-Type Jaguars
- Milled aluminium dash boards to E-Type's and MG's
- Steering rack conversions to Mark II Jaguars.
- Suspension conversion.
Classic Car Bodywork
We remove all the fittings and carry out repairs to classic cars. They are then contracted to a Bodyshop to be painted. The cars are then returned to us for re-fitting. This way we have total control of the quality of the refitting and ensure all the parts are in the right place.
Classic Car Trim & Upholstery
We can undertake re-trimming and carpet replacement.
Woodwork Restoration
We undertake wood repairs, re-lacquerer and custom dash boards for most cars including Jaguar, Rolls Royce and MG.
Underbody protection
We can waxoyle any vehicle (this includes some Japanese imports of late).
MOT
We will carry out MOT preparation work including chassis repairs to a high standard.
